Introducing Stay Wired to Win™

Monthly at-home challenges designed to keep your competitive spark going until the 2021 IDEAL National Championship.

From wiring outlets with maximum efficiency to brushing up on your code knowledge, the Stay Wired to Win challenges will keep your electrical skills top notch. Every month we'll announce a new challenge, its rules, materials needed and judging criteria. Follow us on FacebookInstagram or Twitter for even more tips, tricks and training videos.

Each month winners will receive $500 in IDEALCash. Monthly winners will also advance to the finals, to compete in a virtual national challenge in November 2020.

October 5 to October 23, 7am CST

This month, you'll put your safety knowledge to the test, with an online electrical safety quiz. The goal is to correctly answer as many questions as you can in the 10 minutes allotted. You are not expected to finish all questions. You will be scored based on the number of questions you answer correctly, as well as your accuracy (correct answers/total answered). You may only take the quiz once. Duplicate submissions will not be considered.  Live leaderboard below will show the top 5 students and top 5 professional scores throughout the month.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Use Google Chrome as your web browser for the best quiz taking experience. Please disable ad blockers and pop-up blockers prior to entering this challenge, as those may prevent the quiz from loading. Do not close this window or switch to a different browser tab, or your score may be impacted. If you experience technical issues with the quiz not appearing after you complete the entry form, please email

Visit the Stay Wired to Win website for all the details and to take the quiz.
Canadians - Please note that the quiz is available in English only.

IDEAL National Championship Returning in 2021

IDEAL INDUSTRIES, INC. has made the difficult but necessary decision to cancel the 2020 IDEAL National Championship electrician challenge, to protect and support the electrical community during this time. The industry-wide skills competition will resume in spring 2021 with registrations opening early next year and the 2021 Finals occurring December 15-17 in Nashville, Tennessee.

In the meantime, IDEAL will still be honouring, supporting and connecting with the trade by means of innovative digital competitions and programs throughout 2020.
